Ubisoft recently announced that the solo title Assassin’s Creed Chronicles set in China which was supposed to be a part of the seasons pass for Assassin’s Creed Unity, is now a trilogy.
Players who buy Unity and the season pass content along with multiple DLCs, add-on contents were looking forward to play this new 2.5D platformer. It drew heavy inspiration from the earlier Prince of Persia titles and was a nostalgic experience.
After discontinuing the pass, the developers confirmed that Chronicles will be a trilogy set in China, India and Russia. It will also be launched as a stand-alone title so that everyone could enjoy it on their favorite platforms.
A recent rumor from a French website now confirms that Ubisoft is strongly considering a plan where they could launch Assassin’s Creed Chronicles on the PS Vita platform. They already launched AC: Liberations which was a huge success. Besides, a 2.5D platformer might be one among many on next gen consoles but it could make a huge impact on a handheld console.
The trilogy doesn’t have a release date yet but it is expected to get launched before the end of summer. The rumor also adds that Ubisoft is also planning to launch the game on Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles. At the moment, it is confirmed only for PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
After playing a hands-on version of the title and watching the gameplay trailer, we are convinced that this could easily be the best ever release on a PS Vita console. The publisher has to make the final call.
Are you looking forward to enjoy Assassin’s Creed Chronicles on your PS Vita console? Would Sony take steps to ensure that the title find its way to their handheld which has been lacking some love for a long time?
