Sony Xperia Z4 is official after a lot of rumors and the company is set to join the smartphone competition once again.
They were out of the race for some time now because the mobile phone scenario was hugely dominated by other companies including Motorola, Lenovo. Even the new player Xiaomi from China made a huge impact with their low cost, high powered phones.
Samsung recently jumped back to their former glory with Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge phones. It’s now time for Sony to show their prowess one more time.
The Xperia Z4 has been officially announced and it is coming to Japan first. The phone sports a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p screen and has a massive 424 pixels per inch. The device is powered by a 64-bit octa core processor supplied by Qualcomm Snapdragon. It is a 810 chipset and there’s also 3 GB of RAM to make sure all your apps are responsive always without memory issues.
There is 32 GB of memory available on the phone which can be further expanded using the micro SD card slot. You can use up to 128 GB cards. A 20.7 megapixel camera is found in the rear panel while the front has a 5.1 megapixel camera.
The rear uses an Exmor RS and Bionz smarts lens while the front has a wide angle lens to favor selfies with more people in the shot. It also uses an image stabilization feature. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box. It has 2,930 mAh battery and is IPX8 level water proof certified and IPX6 dust proof.
The phone can withstand even if you submerge it in water for up to 30 minutes, but make sure it isn’t more than 5 feet. Sony Xperia Z4 comes in copper, white, black and aqua green colors in Japan. No word on its global availability.
