After the speculated rumors and some leaked screenshots, it is official and the LG G4 is here. The phone is easily one of the best looking devices to come out recently and could easily compete with the HTC One M9 and the iPhone 6.
A couple of hours ago the company unveiled the phone on their official site and confirmed the specifications as well as release date for the smartphone. The leather back panel plays an integral role of them all as it is unique to the LG G4 and can’t be easily found in any other phone.
Motorola has launched a similar one with their Moto X and has even released a picture to mock LG for bringing out the leather panels so late. The phone’s camera features is quite strong as it is equipped with a powerful 16 megapixel snapper on the rear. You can also find some of the sample images taken using the phone on different websites.
The LG G4 has some exclusive features including the Quick Shot, Event Pocket, Gallery mode and the Smart Notice. Quick Help is a digital help manual designed to let users immediately find what they need without having to fumble.
On the specifications front, the phone has a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm 808 chipset, has LTE and is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
At the moment, the company has not confirmed the actual release dates but it should be out for regions around the globe by the month of July. The phone will be launched and is expected to be available in multiple leather variants on release date.
The first launch will take place in US, UK, Korea and Canada.
