Spotify has completely dominated the music industry by holding rights to the best music streaming service and you can’t ignore it, if you are looking to enjoy songs to suit your mood.
Once you starting using their service, it wouldn’t be surprising if you get addicted to it. The Spotify app and software on desktop has the best user interface which allows you to easily find the music you love or even tune into curated playlists that match your mood.
As a next step, the company is aiming to do something much bigger – a video streaming service similar to Youtube.
Industry analysts from Wall Street confirm that Spotify is talking to content creators on Youtube and convincing them to post their videos on the new streaming platform.
They are also working with traditional media companies, advertisement firms and digital media players. The Wall Street Journal claims that an official announcement will be made before the end of this month. Invitation for a May 20 event has already been sent out!
Netflix and Amazon is the biggest players in the market with a lot of exclusive content as well as movies. Hulu is collaborating with Turner while Sony Pictures TV is working on a Seinfeld series. Youtube is looking at high quality video content to make good revenue but faces stiff competition from Vessel. Now, Spotify is out to grab its own market share but it is not sure at the moment if they will manage to succeed in this hugely competitive industry.
