After a long break, we finally have two different Android tablets from Samsung that are worthy competitors to the iPad.
Samsung has launched the Galax Tab S2, one with an 8-inch display and another with a bigger 9.7-inch display. Both the tablets use a 4:3 ratio which is great for reading books and magazines but definitely not the choice for watching HD movies.
The tablets have a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels which looks brilliant on paper which when combined with its Super AMOLED screen should look extremely vibrant. It is powered by an Exynos 5433 8-core processor with 1.9 GHz speed for the bigger tablet and 1.3 GHz for the smaller one.
It has 3GB of RAM which is more than enough for serious multi-tasking and has 32 GB or 64 GB storage space choices that you could expand using the micro SD card slot. The 9.7-inch tab has a mammoth 5870 mAh battery while the 8-inch device comes with 4000 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 devices will launch in August in a possible price range of $400 to $500.
