Following the footsteps of LG, Acer and other manufacturers, BenQ has launched a new gaming monitor with a 35-inch curved screen and a unique resolution that may or may not be favored by all gamers.
The BenQ XR3501 has a 35-inch curved screen which has a resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels and has a 144Hz refresh rate. The monitor boasts of an Ultra Curve design that promises crisp video clarity in every corner of the screen. To demonstrate its power, the company has also launched a three monitor setup video that shows how it might look in racing games!
Other specifications of the BenQ XR3501 includes a 21:9 widescreen aspect ratio combined with a massive twenty levels of vibrance adjustment and black equalizer which promises to deliver the deepest blacks so that you don’t miss an enemy in multiplayer shooters.
It also bundles three different gaming modes, designed for car racing and first person shooters. While it is unclear how ardent gamers would go for this resolution which might be a strain on graphic cards, if you have a mighty PC with an Nvidia 980 or an equivalent, this should be an ideal pick.
Gone are the days when people had to setup three 1080p monitors to get an immersive gaming experience albeit the pixels. It’s all about 2K and 4K now with BenQ joining the race with this $999 gaming monitor.
