The drone mania continues and DJI has further fueled the situation by launching a new Phantom 3 Standard drone which is primarily designed for beginners.
Flying a drone is not a cake walk as most people assume. And, if you try to control a sophisticat ed piece of equipment that costs thousands of dollars, it may end in the wrong way. DJI wants to fix this!
They earlier launched the Phantom 3 Professional and Advanced drones. The new standard model is priced much lower at $799 but packs in all the features that a newbie would need. The built-in 12 megapixel camera can capture pictures and shoot videos at 2.7k with 30 FPS.
The 40 MBPS videos are ideal for enthusiasts if not professionals. It supports video downlink at 720p and most importantly, the drone can continuously fly for 25 minutes which is a significant improvement. It gives beginners enough time to learn maneuvering this aircopter.
Being a cheaper version, it obviously has a downgrade. The DJI Phantom 3 Standard drone will stream videos on your phone at a distance of 1 km or just 0.62 miles which is quite less compared to the distance offered by the other two models.
It’s definitely not for professional filming or photography but beginners could do a lot with this entry level drone.
