Google in association with Samsung and other leading smartphone makers in the world promised to release monthly security fixes for the Android operating system.
It will not only fix the notoriously popular Stagefright vulnerability but will also make the mobile OS immune to any other future attacks. Over a billion phone has been suspected to be vulnerable at the moment but you don’t have anything to worry about as security patches are on the way.
For those of you, who are scared and like to know if it is there or not, you can consider downloading the app named Stagefright Detector App. It is available on the Google Playstore and is completely legit.
While it is not possible to fix Stagefright vulnerability on your own or pay someone to do it for you, you could feel relieved if your Android phone is not infected by it. For everyone else, it’s time to wait until a patch is rolled out.
On an end note, tech engineers and analysts have assured that people need not panic because of this new vulnerability. The heartbleed issue plagued phones last year and now this but there will always be a solution right around the corner.
