Nvidia officially announced two different Quadro graphic cards based on the Maxwell architecture. They are the M5000 and the M4000 which will power video editors, game developers and professionals in various fields.
However, an unexpected leak occurred during this same time. The CEO of Hasee, a popular Chinese manufacturing company leaked the existence of the 990M graphics card. It is the equivalent of the GeForce GTX 980 available on desktop PCs. He not only revealed the existence of the card much earlier than Nvidia could officially announce it but also confirmed that it will be integrated into laptops scheduled for launch in the fourth quarter of 2015.
With the Maxwell improvement, the new Nvidia Quadro M5000 and M4000 cards are expected to be low on power usage but high on performance. A detailed technical specification of these two cards have been provided in here. While the official pricing of the products are yet to be revealed, analysts predict that it will be on the same line as the existing models and may not have any drastic changes.
Apart from these launches, Nvidia has also launched the DesignWorks architecture aimed at professionals around the globe. The advanced technology will be supplied by the company so that they could make use of it. It brings some sophisticated tools including the vMaterials, MDL and better support for virtual reality technology.
