For starters, it is good to know that Beats is now owned by Apple. Obviously, the products they launch favor their own systems and the Pill+ Bluetooth speaker is as expected.
The acquisition took place about a year ago and due to many reasons, Beats didn’t launch any new products for a couple of months. Now, they are back to business and have unveiled a brand new speaker system. It is extremely portable, easy to carry and should appease music lovers who like to enjoy their favorite tunes on the go.
In their official statement, the company said that they have considerably increased the size of the Pill+ speaker.
“The increased size allowed us to create fuller sound and render a solid design to the speakers,” said Beats. The company added that their product can run for full 12 hours without having to recharge it in the middle of a session. The speaker can also be fully recharged in just three hours, making the ideal portable choice for music lovers.
In order to support the new product, Beats revealed an all new app for both the iOS and Android platforms. Users can control and customize the content on their speakers virtually using the app including switching play modes, playback among other functions.
The Pill+ Bluetooth speaker features a lightning port and is expected to be priced at $229 on launch. Pre-orders will begin in the next few weeks and probably hit stores in November.
