Can it get any bigger than this? Western Digital has started shipping the biggest of their storage solutions. The WD Gold edition comes with 12TB of storage space and has a price tag of $521.99.

It is the most expensive hard drive at least for those in the consumer market. With lots of new technologies bundled in, WD promises that the helium powered HDDs will be more reliable, long lasting and efficient. They have a 2.5 million hours MTBF reliability rating despite the fact that 12 terabytes of storage is being offered on a single bundle.

The lower end 6 TB edition is the entry level that goes all the way up to 12TB and the hard drive comes with 5 year limited warranty.
