As soon as rumors hit the media, Nvidia GTX 1070ti seemed to be a wrong decision because most critics opined that the card would directly compete with a GTX 1080 with very little differentiation to talk about.
The specifications of the rumoured GFX card is out now! As expected, the card is going to be very close to the 1080 but in order to keep the pricing low and not create competition for their own product, Nvidia has made some significant changes.
While the 1080 has 2,560 CUDA cores, the upcoming ti edition of the 1070 has 2,432 CUDA cores which is a significant boost from the base 1070 model that sports just 1,920. The memory speed of the card will be pegged at 8Gbps and not 11 Gbps.
The pricing of the Nvidia GTX 1070ti is expected to be $429 and a proposed launch date will be in the month of October, during Halloween. Gigabyte has made this suggestion by dropping a hint inspired by the recent horror flick IT, comparing it with the upcoming 1070ti model.
