The PS4 System Software Update 5.00 is officially out of the beta channel and is being rolled out to everyone. Sony is bringing a whole lot of new and improved features that is sure to put a smile on gamers’ faces.
Improved parental control and friend list management is just the beginning of many important features coming to the Playstation 4 console. A family manager who is an adult can manage all accounts and restrict multiple children accounts.
Players on the PS4 Pro console can now stream game play videos live at 1080p, 60 fps on Twitch making it a reliable platform for professionals who make a living out of game streaming. Your broadcast can also be linked to your community so that a spectator can easily jump to your live video with a single click. The PS VR now supports spectator comments in 3D, in VR mode so that it is easy to broadcast and reply whenever needed.
Messages will no longer hinder your experience during a game. Players can choose white or black colors to make them non-intrusive. They can also be turned off during a game or whenever a video is playing. Message previews can be blocked as well when you don’t need them.
The PS4 system software update 5.00 also brings virtual surround sound for the PS VR headset and multiple language support. In a new blog, Sony also confirmed players will now be able to follow even non-verified accounts. Any messages sent with a link will now display a preview of the site making it easy for your friends to know what it is all about.
