Google Pixel Buds, the direct competitor to Apple AirPods was unveiled at an event today and it could do a lot more than what their competitor offers. Besides, the device won’t get lost easily as the designers have taken care of it.

The Pixel Buds cost about $159 and could translate up to 40 languages in real time with more being added in the coming months. The live language translation feature was showcased on stage during the Google event, adding that you could actually travel any part of the world.

The user has to touch and hold the right ear bud to activate the Google Assistant translate feature. It also supports touch to pause music and to wake up Assistant on your phone while on the move. They are connected using wires so that the ear buds don’t get lost like the fully wireless AirPods.

Google Pixel Buds promises 24 hours of run time with a powerful battery. The rechargeable case allows you to charge it back full in about 5 hours. The tiny but promising new ear buds are available in white, black and blue. Google also launched the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones during the event.
