Apple has launched the iPhone X smartphone with much fanfare and even before users could talk about its best aspects, some issues have managed to grab the attention of most.
Out of the lot, the screen burn-in issues and the fact that when you see the device from a different angle, the OLED display tends to show a different hue, color tone because it will happen with the technology, confirmed Apple.
Samsung, the makers of OLED displays who use it even on their cheapest version of the smartphone and previously on their PS Vita handheld console were never seen making such statements regularly. But, Apple says customers should be ready to witness burn-in issues because it will happen eventually through months of usage.
When the same image, for example the home screen icons are left on the display every day for hours together with the maximum contrast, they are bound to permanently be etched on the iPhone X OLED display and it is nothing to worry about according to the company.
Whereas, Google Pixel 2 smartphones which faced the same burn-in issue within days since they purchased the phone, replacements are being done and investigation is on to find if it is a small problem or something widespread.
Apple has managed to change their terms and statement to reflect OLED displays on iPhone X may cause some color, burn-in issues in due time but it will not affect the overall user experience of their $1000 smartphone!
