Apple is already working on a new iPad which will be on par with the iPhone X model. It will support Face ID to unlock but will also get rid of the 3.5 mm headphone jack and the touch sensor button.
Without a home button to make use of, it might be a tough call for tablet users at first. However, Apple engineers opine that the new iPad will have slimmer bezels and an intuitive display which makes it easy to do gestures to open or close apps. The size of the device is expected to be bumped up to 10.5-inches but it will be easier to hold because of the slim bezel.
A rumor claims the company is also working on implementing the stylus pen which is so far only available with the iPad Pro edition. The new upcoming model will be powered by the A11 bionic chip with all the usual sensors and the latest iOS version. However, like the iPhone X, it will not sport an OLED screen so as to keep the pricing of the tablet under control. After all, tablets are slowly waning off and Apple wouldn’t want to make the next iPad obsolete due to exorbitant pricing right?
