The world of Nintendo is expanding as the company shows keen interest in keeping things open. The Nintendo Switch has officially received the Hulu streaming app in the eShop and more should land in the near future.
The previously launched consoles, Wii and Wii U had Netflix on it when they got launched but the Switch focused solely on first party games and never had any additional apps to keep things interesting. After nearly eight months since launch, Hulu has been launched on the U.S. eShop for Nintendo fans in the country.
In their list of games getting launched and already available for the holiday season, Nintendo hardly brought Hulu to the limelight. Instead they mentioned it as one of the apps coming to console towards the bottom of the list and allowing users to find it themselves when they most need it.
The Nintendo Switch console in Japan is always as it used to be as there is a streaming app available on the device already since launch while U.S. edition has to wait for months to get one. The console has sold over 7.63 million units so far and is expected to beat the lifetime sales of Wii U within the next few months.
