Xiaomi is not giving up on literally any industry at this point. After launching beard trimmers and surveillance cameras, the new Mi 34-inch gaming monitor is launched.
The company seems to have a killer idea of how the gaming market works because their first ever monitor has everything a hardcore PC gamer would ask for. The 34-inch gaming monitor is exceptionally large and possibly the largest size that you could opt for in a desktop setup as going any bigger doesn’t make any sense.
The monitor has a balanced resolution of 3440×1440 which is not 4K and that is good news for everyone. Even the most powerful Nvidia or AMD graphics card in the market will not be able to drive such a high resolution with ultra-high graphics and maximum frame rates. It is a fine balance between offering great resolution but still allowing gamers to push up to 120FPS or even more whenever possible.
The Mi 34-inch gaming monitor uses AMD FreeSync and the news will obviously disappoint lots of gamers who use Nvidia graphics card. But, it is something you can overcome because as a whole the monitor works and delivers some excellent specifications. The monitor supports p to 144Hz refresh rate which is ideal for gaming and has a low response time of 4ms per second GTG.
In terms of design, it is not going to be groundbreaking but it gets the job done with minimal bezels and also has a 1500R curvature. The curve allows gamers to view everything at once and feel a very immersive gaming experience.
For those who are not willing to spend on this expensive large Mi 34-inch gaming monitor, the company has also unveiled a simple 23.8-inch 1080p gaming monitor. The monitor is priced at just $99 while the pricing of the Mi 34-inch gaming monitor is not confirmed at the moment. These peripherals are available only in China for now and is expected to eventually roll out to other regions based on Xiaomi’s presence.
