Google has been following a trend where they launch a new Pixel phone and it gets such insane discounts within months of its official launch. The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are getting a solid discount of $300 on Verizon for those who love the camera so early in its lifecycle.
Samsung and Apple usually take months to roll out such big discounts or at least wait until their upcoming smartphones are really close to its launch date. Even in such a scenario, Galaxy S10 which is just two months away from the Galaxy S11 getting launched is being sold close to its full price or with some simple offers.
Google just couldn’t keep the price standard but this policy of theirs had continued to hurt sales because the phones often launch at whopping price tags. Apple iPhones are always expensive but they manage to stay relevant for many years to come. The same cannot be said about a Pixel or Pixel 2 in 2020 because they age pretty fast compared to an iPhone 8.
The $300 discount for Verizon customers on the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones are applicable only if you can meet some of their conditions. The discount works if you opt for a finance plan with Verizon directly or get the phone through monthly installment offered by Google. These options does get you a big discount on the phone’s pricing but only if you are already a Verizon user or plan to become one.
The only other alternative is to directly purchase it using your credit or debit card. In order to do so, you need to have the cash ready and pay it directly using a card or make use of available Google credits. An unlocked model is being sold for $150 less and bundles in a Google Nest Hub. The offer runs till December 25 in case you plan to make use of it.
