Samsung is gearing up for its grand Unpacked event this month during which the S20 series of phones will be revealed. Before these expensive devices are out, the mid-tier smartphones of 2020 including the Galaxy S10 Lite and A51 are getting launched in multiple regions of which Singapore is the latest addition.
The devices are far more affordable when compared to the Galaxy S10 series released in 2019. However, if you are looking for a discount you can probably buy the S10 which still retains the 3.5mm headphone jack but the camera capabilities and the smaller punch-hole camera in the new lite edition could be alluring for some buyers.
Besides, the pricing also falls in the more affordable range when directly compared with the launch price of the S10 series phones. The Galaxy S10 Lite and A51 are both great phones that people in Singapore can now purchase to experience its state-of-the-art camera experience that they deliver.
You can look out for the full specifications in the official website. The overall performance and price ratio for the A51 is super impressive that might convince most budget buyers to go for it but if fantastic camera performance is your forte, the 48-megapixel primary camera in the S10 Lite is the way to go.
In theory, the camera quality should be on par with the Galaxy S20 phones scheduled for launch this month but as we are yet to get the phones and review their camera quality, it might be a couple of weeks before we can come to a final conclusion. The size of the punch hole has been drastically reduced in both the Galaxy S10 Lite and A51 making them more stylish and easier to have a near full-screen experience when compared to what Samsung did last year with their flagship smartphones.
