Microsoft’s Xbox One Elite is Official, Two New Controller Variants Revealed

It’s been a busy week for Microsoft’s Xbox One console. While Sony is leading the console race with Playstation 4 as the hottest selling console, its rival is not far behind.

In their official Major Nelson blog, the company announced that a new Xbox One Elite console is coming which offers the ultimate gaming experience. If you are a PC Gamer, you will probably be familiar with the upgrade that Microsoft has made to their console. The device promises to be at least 20 percent faster than its previous editions because it’s powered by a 1 TB Solid State Drive, popularly known as SSDs in the PC gaming community.

When setting up a powerful computer, people often opt for a SSD because it is faster, reliable and loads programs much faster. With a strong focus on unifying the community, Microsoft seems to have opted for the same in their Xbox One Elite console. An added benefit is that the console will bundle an Xbox Elite controller which will cost $150 if purchased separately.

The controller is fully customizable with removable D-pads, hair trigger locks and braided USB cable for increased durability. It is a savings bundle because even with a better hard disk and an elite controller, the pricing is at $499 which should entice people who are already in love with the device. There’s also a Lunar White special edition controller coming up which has better textures but its color variant is what helps it stand apart. The snow white design combined with gold d-pad, triggers is exceptionally exquisite and is something you might want to add to your collection.

Razer Wildcat

In other news, Razer Wildcast is their newest version of the Xbox One Elite controller which is priced at a massive $150 and features removable buttons. It allows users to assign functions to each button, rubberized grips on either side, 3.5mm audio jack and custom profiles. Compared to the original elite, this one is a bit letdown in terms of customization but if you love Razer, there’s no saying no to it.
