Apple iPhone X was officially launched at the event where the company delayed the announcement for a long time, as they spent majority of it discussing about the new Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
The new device which is completely bezel less except for the front facing camera ditches the fingerprint sensor as rumoured. The device sports a large 5.8-inch display which is OLED for the first ever time (Samsung users may laugh at this upgrade, though!) and has a resolution of 2436×1125. The screen supports HDR for better contrast and also includes 3D touch technology in association with true tone technology.
Everything about the iPhone X is new as it doesn’t have any buttons to navigate at all. You swipe apps up to remove them, go back or open multi-tasking window. The new Face ID is what Apple likes to call it does a lot of good things or at least gimmicks for now including converting emojis by capturing your face and unlocking for the right user.
Apple had a lot of technical things to be shared during the event which the common user may not love. But, for you it’s easy to understand that the new phone makes awesome photos with a dual 12 megapixel camera that has a f/1.8 aperture and uses f/2.4 telephoto lens for wide angle shots. Under the metal frame, it is powered by a A11 bionic chip which is obviously faster than the A10 chip used in the old iPhone 7.
The Apple iPhone X is pretty expensive as it costs about $999 for the basic 64GB model while the 256GB model costs $1100. Pre-orders for the devices begin on October 27th and shipping commences on November 3rd.
