SNES Mini is an amazing retro console which brings back sweet memories to life on your huge, HD television. However, the console is just an emulator on the inside and hacking it to run all the retro games was an easy task.
Within couple of hours since it got launched, Hackchi posted on the NEOGAF forums that they have managed to hack the console and alter its codes. They even provided a detailed procedure on Youtube which you can view below.
The SNES Mini costs about $70 and comes with popular titles like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World and Super Mario Kart among many others. The console is compact, supports HDMI and has two controllers.
If you hack it to run more games, you will void the warranty but can try if you are really keen on accomplishing something that most SNES lovers can’t.
