Tesla Roadster with 620 Miles is Poised to Take Gas Cars Out of Competition

When Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors Inc. launched the new Roadster which boasts of a massive 620 miles of coverage, he openly admitted that it is supposed to be a hard hit on the gas cars and the primitive technology they use.

After the likes of Steve Jobs, Musk has been slowly gaining traction in making a presentation that makes the internet turn towards him and listen to his claims. Despite Tesla being a not so successfully company with lots of delayed launches and deliveries, the company has now achieved a status that all other automobile manufacturers look up to.

The Roadster which happens to be the root design of Tesla back in 2008 has made a strong comeback into mainstream market once again and is now available for pre-orders. Buyers can pay $50,000 to reserve their car while they should pay a total of $200,000 which is what the base model costs.

The electric vehicle is powered by three dedicated electric motors, can seat two adults, two kids and also happens to be a convertible with a removable roof. It also features autonomous technology with the ability to communicate with other cars and let passengers be seated without having to touch the driving wheel at all times.

The new Tesla Roadster has a top speed of 250 miles per hour and can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 8.9 seconds. It is powered by a 200kWh battery pack and production for the model begins in 2020.
