Paramount Planned VR Movie Theater Service for Oculus Rift, Vive and Others

With the growing number of virtual reality headsets in the market, one of the biggest production houses Paramount Pictures is planning to launch a VR movie theater for their audience.

Being a centralized streaming service similar to Netflix, it will be available for all users including those who own a HTC Vive, Oculus Rift or the PS VR headset. The idea is to provide a seamless theater experience such as getting your tickets, walking into the movie hall and watching trailers before the actual movie starts.

The size and depth offered by the VR headsets will ensure you will actually feel like you are in a cinema hall to enjoy your favorite blockbuster movies. The service begins as early as Dec 3rd. Paramount Pictures has partnered with Bigscreen company. Top Gun 3D is the first title and many more movies will be added to the library real soon.
