Google rolled out Android 10 to Pixel devices first and it wasn’t much of a surprise because the vanilla edition is the easiest to update. OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 receiving the update in such short notice is however a surprise though because the company managed to implement it in their Oxygen OS.
Android 10 for the first time is not called Jelly Bean or Lollipop because Google decided to get rid of the sweet naming scheme in such a long time. The operating system is filled with some amazing new additions and definitely brings lots of great features to supported smartphones albeit manufacturers will add their own touch to it.
OnePlus 7T is gearing up for a grand launch, possibly in the Indian and Asian market first because of the massive support the brand receives in those regions. The brand is yet to make a big mark in United States and the Western population where iPhone and Samsung continues to be the top of the line models.
While Huawei has an equally strong presence too, it is to be seen when OnePlus focuses better on the global market so that buyers could enjoy purchasing flagship phones at much lower price tag.
Stable Build of Android 10
OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 models received Android 10 with Oxygen OS on top of it earlier but it was not the stable build due to some prominent bugs. The manufacturer has ensured all the issues are removed so that users could rely on their phone as their daily driver.
In their official forum, the company confirmed that the stable build is now being rolled out to both the models with a whole lot of new features to look forward. Not so surprisingly, this also happens to be the same month when Apple rolled out their iOS13 for all their existing devices as well as the newly launched iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro models.
New Features in Oxygen OS
Some of the prominent changes that you should know about if you are a OnePlus 7 Pro user is that there is a brand new UI with the rollout and it also allows you to control with whom you share your location access or similar details.
The update also supports full screen gestures which is quite similar to iPhones. You can now swipe left or right to go back while a bottom navigation bar lets you immediately access all your recent apps.
Gaming is a big deal on smartphones these days and OnePlus adds Game Space to manage all your titles in a single spot. The update also brings in smart display to change screen brightness and blue light filter based on your location, time of the day. The routine saves a lot of time so that you don’t have to manually dim it down while reading content at night. There is also the option to block messages based on keywords.
OnePlus 7T is set for launch in New Delhi, India on September 26th before which we expect the Android 10 update to be available on both OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 devices.
