Affordable products are the way to go and if Apple is doing it for $300, probably it is true! A surprising decision it is, Apple continues to sell their previous generation iPad model with upgraded chipset, headphone jack and a physical home button for $329.
This is the cheapest and the best iPadOS experience that you could get. On the Android forte, there is Samsung doing a great job at $200 price tag whereas Amazon is going even cheaper. The Amazon Fire HD 10 got upgraded now and it is a decent entertainment device for people of all age groups.

The display is large at 10.1-inches powered by an octa core processor, 2GB of RAM and there is 32GB of storage space with support for a micro SD card. A significant upgrade is the inclusion of a USB Type-C port that is used to charge the devices. Besides, the brand has also managed to improve the battery life of the product from 10 hours to a solid 12 hours making it even better.
It is great to see companies ditching micro USB completely as everyone including Apple moves toward adopting Type-C as the industry standard. The tablet runs on Android P with FireOS on top geared to push you towards Amazon’s services and digital products, apart from promoting Alexa.

The Amazon Fire HD 10 kids edition has a rubber casing on the outside, the UI is tweaked to showcase kid-friendly content and it has one-year extended warranty. FreeTime Unlimited is an additional service for kids that costs $2.99 for Prime members that includes lots of movies, shows, cartoons, books and music made for children. It makes life easier for parents.
A kid’s version of the Kindle priced at $109 was also launched which focuses on encouraging kids to read and also has a UI that displays only books meant for children. The age group can be specified but all other content and the adult version of the Kindle will be replaced with a more colorful UI.
Kindle Fire HD 10 is set at $149 whereas the kids edition costs $199 which includes one year of unlimited access to digital content, extended warranty and the case. The Kindle kids edition is $109 that includes access to lots of children-specific books to read digitally.
