The first glance will instantly confirm you that the Honor MagicBook is a direct competitor for Apple MacBooks. The good news is, the laptops are now powered by AMD Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors making them more reliable in the long run.
These are large and productive laptops as the first model sports a 14-inch display while the second has a much larger 15.6-inch display. The white and silver combination of colors looks almost the same as a MacBook and it will be really difficult to spot the difference.
On the inside, the smaller laptop is powered by the Ryzen 5 3500 series processor and Ryzen 7 3700 chipset powers the 15.6-inch laptop. They are also powered by AMD Vega 10 graphics, making them efficient laptops for both productivity and gaming. You can easily be a gamer, a Twitch streamer, a designer or a video editor to use this laptop as it can easily handle all the above said tasks easily.
In other specs, they have 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB of SSD storage space. You can choose to reduce the RAM to 8GB or increase the storage space to 512GB which makes it the top of the line model to purchase. The product uses USB Type C and it’s battery can last a solid 9.5 hours of display on-time. The smaller laptop has 56Wh battery and the 15.6-inch variant has a smaller 42Wh battery which may have a slight impact in overall battery life.
The Honor MagicBook is available in China now and it is unclear when or if these products will be rolled out to other international markets. The MagicBook 14 with Ryzen 7 costs about CNY 4,200 while the MagicBook 15 Ryzen 5 edition costs CNY 3,900. It is said that the company will roll out other higher end variants of this same laptop in the future with increased storage.
