Apple unveiled the AirPods Pro which is an improved version of their truly wireless earbuds. It enables iPhone users to seamlessly connect their audio and enjoy ANC features that is soon coming to Samsung phones in the form of Galaxy Buds+.
The information was leaked by a prominent Twitter celebrity Evan Blass. He has a strong track record of revealing information much before the official launch and almost all of them turned out to be true. Besides, from a marketing perspective it makes a lot of sense for Samsung to compete with Apple in this segment.
The Android phones are plenty in numbers but the lack of truly wireless earbuds that are readily compatible with the phones are limited. The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ are designed for Galaxy S series and A series phones but in theory they will work great with any phone model that supports Bluetooth. The rumor further adds that this will be a much more expensive model on par with AirPods Pro because it will have additional features like active noise cancellation and other additional features including improved music quality.
When directly compared with the Pro edition of AirPods and even the baseline AirPods, the Galaxy Buds were considered a budget friendly solution for most buyers. You could buy a branded earphones for a much lower price and in many cases, they were bundled along with the Galaxy S10, S10+ smartphones making them the best option for phones without a headphone jack.
The news also nearly confirms that Samsung will completely remove the headphone jack from their Galaxy S11 and other two phones when they get launched in 2020. It will lead to a smartphone industry populated by phones with a USB Type C charging port and no other ports but it is still unclear how removing the headphone jack makes way for features as the iPhone is so bulky these days.
