Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Promises PC Quality Gaming on Smartphones

Qualcomm just held a grand summit in Hawaii and without any surprise elements, the company officially launched the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 flagship processor. This particular chipset will play a big role in bringing lots of great things to smartphones including 5G connectivity, PC-like gaming quality according to the company and photographs that are on par with what you would capture on DSLR cameras.

The newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor is going to be the prominent processor that will dominate the likes of Samsung Galaxy S11, OnePlus 8 Pro and many other models from Sony, Huawei and Motorola. After all, adopting 5G connectivity is considered the biggest achievement in 2020 when all the new phones rollout.

While countries like China and UK are doing groundwork for this better and faster mobile internet option, it is still unclear when this adoption will become widespread around the globe. The connectivity strength is much lower on 5G making it a really convoluting option for customers.

However, on the other end of the spectrum, gaming and smartphone photography will significantly improve on all major flagship smartphones released next year. All of them will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor the company launched now. They further confirmed that the chipsets have been handed out to their partners and will find its way into phones released in the first quarter of 2020 which is obviously the time for Samsung to unveil their flagship smartphones.

PC-Gaming Quality

With the new processor, mobile phones will get Unreal engine support which in turn is expected to add PC-like gaming quality to your compact phones. Titles like PUBG and Call of Duty Mobile are already popular on the portable platform which will soon become even better when more powerful chipsets make gaming fun.

It will also support 144Hz refresh rate on displays and with the addition of the Spectra 480 image processor, your phone will be able to capture 960fps videos continuously without heating issues. Users can also capture 4K videos, add HDR as they do in the movies and everything is made possible with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor coming to flagship phones of the near future.
