E3 2020 is Happening, List of Official Attendees Announced

With literally every major company including Sony and Nvidia opting out of the Mobile World Congress 2020, the event got officially cancelled. A similar fate was expected for E3 2020 even though it is a couple of months away from taking place but luckily the event organizers announced the list of participants and it looks like they are on track with some big announcements.

Microsoft made a surprise announcement of the Xbox Series X much earlier than expected which was supposed to have been revealed at E3 2020. Sony had to follow suit as they revealed the PS5 logo but they are yet to showcase how their new PlayStation 5 console will look in terms of design and internal specifications.

ESA Makes an Announcement on E3 2020

The Entertainment Software Association ESA confirmed that E3 2020 is happening with Microsoft being the most prominent participant of them all. Sony has dropped out of a live show for the second year despite the fact that they are going to launch the PS5 console during this holiday season. In their tweet, Xbox boss Phil Spencer added that they are super excited to take the opportunity and come up with lots of exciting announcements.

Nintendo will have a direct stream and booths at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The major players and game development companies who will also be attending the event include Square Enix, Capcom, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Warner Bros, Sega and Bandai Namco.
The event’s prominent host Geoff Keighley opined that it is no longer in sync with his views and stepped out of E3 event after nearly two decades of producing the show.

Visitors who like to buy tickets can do so from the 15th of February onwards while everything that people have come to love about E3 2020 will be retained this year as well. Before the show, it is expected that the Corona Virus fears will subdue and allow everyone to take part without fear while enjoying some brand new games on next generation Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles.
