Japan obviously is the place to be for anime lovers and gamers who love Nintendo Switch or related content. Besides, lots of great console editions like the Coral Nintendo Lite or the various variants of the PS Vita or PS4 never got an international release much to the dismay of many ardent gamers.
The newly launched coral-colored Nintendo Switch Lite is available only in Japan. The console is scheduled to launch on 20th March. The color looks more like pink but the minor variation in the color shade is being used to call it coral for those who love that variant.
Switch Lite is the handheld version of the Switch, the hybrid console that can be used to play the game on a television and also on the go. It witnessed massive success because all you need to do is spend $300 and get access to the best Nintendo games combined with FIFA titles, Rocket League, Doom among other third party games in handheld mode.
Skeptical on International Release
Japanese gamers can pre-order the Nintendo Switch Lite coral edition from 7th March which is just weeks to go from their favorite retailers. However, you should wait another week or so for the console to be available for pickup. There is no word on bringing this console to the international markets like Europe, US or UK.
Besides, Nintendo has officially confirmed that due to Corona virus issues in China, the manufacturing plants are hit and there may be some delay in getting their consoles to Japan. While there is no official word for international availability of all existing color variants, Nintendo has never been a company to overstock their consoles and it won’t be surprising if all the existing game consoles including the Switch and Lite go out of stock with little idea on when they will be restocked again internationally.
Nintendo Switch Lite Coral edition will be sold for the same price as the original console at $199.
