Red Dead Redemption 2 is an amazing open-world title that Rockstar accomplished in recent times but an old problem has come back to haunt them. The Hot Coffee mod that gave them so much trouble in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is back even though it is not as adult-like as some fans would want it to be.
Rockstar didn’t waste any time as they immediately ordered the Hot Coffee mod creator to ban it on Red Dead Redemption 2. While players still have the option to download and play it on Nexus mods and highlight videos showcase how the adult scenes would play out, it may not be long before the company tries to remove every ounce of content left to make sure it doesn’t tarnish their reputation as it did in the past.
In the new Hot Coffee Mod, Arthur Morgan, the lead character in RDR2 can pick up paid escorts from the bar inside the virtual world but the entire act will be carried out with their clothes still on. The developer didn’t use any content or graphics that were designed outside but rather everything was picked from within the game including sounds and movement.
Rockstar did hire their legal team as expected to take down the mod because it gave them so much trouble in the past. The original Hot Coffee mod in GTA San Andreas was actually made by the company and left hidden inside for people to find. They did find it and it instantly created an issue as ESRB changed the rating for the game to adults only. Every store had to change the label while some sent it back to the company to do it for them before San Andreas could be sold to teenagers who were eager to take a girl back home.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, the Hot Coffee mod allows you to hire an escort from Valentine Saloon, Strawberry Hotel and Saint Denis Saloon to perform the act.
