Volvo makes some of the popular models but for their experimental purposes, they have the brand named Polestar. Based under the new name, the company is going to showcase an all-electric sedan which will have massive focus on Android Automotive that makes the car truly connected so that you can get a lot done while being on the move.
The new car has been named the Polestar Precept which has a strong focus on being made using eco-friendly materials that can be recycled. In their statement, the company’s CEO Thomas Ingenlath said that this is not a distant vision but rather the concept electric car is close to production and almost the entire automobile industry is willing to embrace the change.
“We are going to minimize environmental impact so that our cars no longer harm the planet. But at the same time, people will experience superior connectivity and the power of electric driving that will change the way automobile industry ever has been in the past century,” he said.
The Polestar Precept has its seat cushions made from recycled cork vinyl and 3D-knitted PET bottles were recycled to make the seat material. Similarly, the metal and every other element are made using one or the other recycled material so that they find their way into mainstream manufacturing rather than being waste that harms the planet.
Bringing such a car into the market may take more time than other EVs find their way but backed by Volvo, Polestar has a much better chance at contributing to the environment which will convince lots of buyers to go for it especially if it is priced right. The aesthetic design is excellent on this machine that further makes it more appealing as an electric car that runs on Android for all its connectivity requirements.
