Apple has not made any official announcement yet but going by the health concerns around the globe, the production of iPhone SE2 or the iPhone 9 may get significantly delayed. There are claims made that confirm the March event may not witness the launch of the phone.
While it is unclear whether the company would want to proceed with the launch and later delay the shipping dates, things are definitely not on the positive side. With major manufacturing industries shutdown in China, PC components, smartphones and most of the items that are made in China and shipped globally have come to a standstill.
A possible outcome during the Apple event would be to launch the iPhone SE2/ iPhone 9 and ship whatever stock is available right now. The company may take more weeks or even months in order to cope up with global demand in the future. The new iPhone is expected to be cheaper and if priced right, it could become the fastest selling smartphone. Coping up with such a demand is very difficult at this point and no official announcement has been made.
On the other hand, Google has already cancelled its annual I/O conference to avoid the spread of any viruses. Apple is under pressure because of this announcement as the Mobile World Congress was recently cancelled due to this issue and lots of similar events scheduled for the next few months are under consideration.
Given the situation, Apple launching the iPhone SE2 at this point seems highly unlikely and rumors claim the same. It won’t be surprising if they cancel the entire event and wait for the situation to come under control before focusing on product delivery. Following the huge uproar from fans for the next James Bond movie, No Time to Die, the production house has officially postponed the release of the movie to November.
Every industry including the movie and technology industry is taking a big hit due to health issues around the globe. Apple is expected to make a firm decision soon after taking these elements into consideration for their new phone and iPads.
