After multiple leaks on the eternally famous The Last of Us 2, Sony has officially announced the release date for the game on the PS4 console. In addition, they also confirmed when their another exclusive Ghost of Tsushima has been officially announced as well.
Being a PlayStation 4 gamer could be the best at this moment because Sony has announced the actual release date for their most popular titles of this generation. Considering the delay of several years, many believed the LOU2 will probably be pushed to PS5 launch date towards the end of 2020. While it doesn’t seem like a bad move, it is even better to release the game now.
Players would consider buying the game immediately to play it on their PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles. Unless they bring in backwards compatibility, you might have to purchase the game one more time once the PlayStation 5 console gets released. Previously, it was announced the Last of Us 2 was delayed with no release date in sight due to the pandemic situation in the world.
Reportedly, a grudged employee released too much of information on the biggest franchise of the generation that pushed Sony to go with the release. Along with it, they decided to make use of this time when people are more likely to spend on digital releases. Ghost of Tsushima got its release date as well just a month after this one.
The Last of Us 2 will get launched on June 19th which is just a month and a half to go. Probably, you should be ready with your wallet as two back to back blockbuster titles are getting released. Ghost of Tsushima will follow on July 17th and Sony confirmed that they are bringing in the release dates much closer to the ease the situation globally during this difficult time.
There are plenty of spoilers floating online and it would be great if you avoid reading those before playing the game on your PS4 console. The suspense element will be much better if you don’t read the storyline ahead of buying your copy of LOU2 and finishing it.
