Google Supports Tik Tok, Removes Millions of Negative Reviews on Play Store

If Google would directly intervene and start fixing an app’s reviews, things would be a whole lot different on the Google Play Store. Going by what happened released when the tech giant removed millions of negative reviews, it is not wrong if people claim that Google supports Tik Tok and decided to take the feedback into their own hands.

There are so many apps that needed such attention because user feedbacks often tend to be biased. Facebook has faced it lots of times around the globe. Recently, a huge digital war ensued between Tik Tokers and YouTubers because of mean comments made by two celebrities on these respective platforms. Considering how the one minute app has been affecting culture, supports obscene things, the issue that took place in India took a turn and millions started posting negative comments and leaving one star reviews in the Play Store.

Google has directly entered the situation after days since it happened and has officially removed over three million negative reviews that were posted recently. The original rating was at 1.2 which slowly moved up to 1.6 and then 2.4 before Tik Tok managed to acquire its original position of 4.3 on the Indian Play Store. They have over 600 million users in the country and such a backlash could invariably affect the app’s performance even though they do have a global presence with millions of active users everywhere, not just in India.

The war on Chinese products continues to evolve both in USA and the rest of the world on Huawei, apps like PUBG, TikTok among many others. The end product is not easy to deduce at this point but the pandemic situation combined with the addictive nature of some of the apps doesn’t make things positive either as Google supports Tik Tok during these times. The parent company from China has to take steps to ensure their suggestions are not violating any rules and doesn’t promote obscene content.
