Bringing in more titles that pits a single player against a team of four other players have often been frowned upon by the gaming community. The title alienates the single person even though he or she wields huge power. Titles like Evolve in the past and many horror games have followed the style with little success but we now have Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed trying to bring in the same set of obstacles such a genre would face.
The game has been confirmed to get released on October 18th on PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X, S consoles. With Halloween right around the corner in the month of October, the game will offer powerful weapons like the PKE Meter, Particle Thrower and Ghost Trap. The ghost obviously will be much more powerful and in the hands of a skilled player, it shouldn’t be an easy task for them to capture it even though four of them will be pitted against just one player.
For those lonely gamers out there, you can still play the game using AI bots. They can play as a ghost while you can team up with AI friends or be the ghost. The four of them will try to hunt you down but it is best played with a group of buddies which makes things interesting, all the more challenging based on the map you play in.
The company Illfonic earlier made Predator Hunting Grounds and is now back with Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed as yet another four player co-op against a single human opponent.
